Seems to me the poor black residents are being disenfranchised yet again by not being allowed to rebuild their own neighborhoods. Why aren't blacks getting these jobs?

Because the Latino's are taking everyones jobs and most of them aren't even here legally. This is just the way the US is now, unless we all stand up and fight for our rights together.

Because we are a very hard working people. It is ingrained into our mindset from a young age to work hard for what you want. I don't believe anyone is being disenfranchised. If Latino brothers and sisters did not go there to get that city up and running I don't think it would ever get up and running.Alot of blacks and whites complain that Latinos take their jobs. That is B.S. My father came here with nothing and now owns three fairly successful eating establishments. My mother, father and sisters work up to 60-70 hours a week to make sure everything in is good order. Sorry for the rant but I am tired of hearing about how we take everyone's job. Get over it. We are here to stay!

The U.S has no problem hiring Latinos yet they want to keep them out of the U.S, they want to use them then leave them (very sad but true). The blacks won't work for the amount of money the Latinos will.
