The best way is if both of you are still civil and can get along and both agree on the divorce. Sit down and fillout the paperwork, obtained from the court house, get it notorized, file it with court and pay the filing fee and wait for your court date. You two have to be in total agreement at the time of paperwork to the actual court date. Then it usually takes 30 days to become public record and then the divorce is final. Good luck

Only do this if you are both in agreement about EVERYTHING. You need to go to the County court and just ask for the papers. Fill them in and then its approx £200. A copy will then will be sent to your partner who must sign it and send it back. Once received they will then be presented before a judge. If everything is OK, he will grant you a Decree Nici. Six weeks and one day after the Decree Nici has been granted you then fill in another form and pay another £40. You will then get your Decree Absolute within a matter of days. (My partner actually received his 15 minutes later!)
Good Luck

You so have to get a lawyer and be honest with them. I have been going through a divorce for three years now and just because my ex will not sigh any papers ,they can not do anything. Try and make it as amicable as possible because the longer it continues the harder it will get,

If you are both agreed on everything, go get a "Pro Se" package from the courthouse.
The whole thing will cost MAYBE 200 bucks.

But you can't be arguing over property or children.

Pro Se if it's simple. If not remember what they say "Anyone who acts as their own lawyer has a fool for a client."
