You've got a point there! Reckon people don't read the questions properly! It's making my head hurt too just thinking about it and it is THAT TIME for me so maybe that does have something to do with it! Ha ha

No, unfortunately, a lot of people don't read the whole question. They just want more points I guess. You'll find the same folks asking "why don't I ever get any 'best answers' here".
I don't answer serious questions unless after reading and understanding the WHOLE question, I have a good solid answer to contribute. Even though I will rip on certain idiotic questions and views I know I will never get a best answer from, My rating averages around 13% best answers.
Let this be a lesson to some of you folks out there. Quantity does not produce best answers. Comprehension and quality comments do.

No dear you are farfrom being silly and it is not because it is that time of the month.
I think a lot of people just say anything just to get the two points.
Some are very rude, few every answer the question right.
I usually stay away from the music question because I don't know the answers to most.

It depends but in the case of some questions the asker just rambles on and the question is so long that most people just read the first paragraph or so and then answer. It can be the askers fault as well as the answerer.
I also think that most answerers know that if they give an answer, sensible or not, then they will get their two points.

Some people obviously don't read the question other than the title part and you can tell by the answers. I posted a serious health question and said I'd been to see my Doctor and yet 4 replies told me to do that and one called me a show-off! If they can't be bothered to read the full question why bother answering! It's annoying but very common.
I always read the full question!

This is standard examination routine - read the bloomin question, then answer it. The problem on this site is the extra bits can be red-herrings, leading to a series of widely differing view points, many of which are wide of the mark.
So yes! I read questions, but sometimes they, or rather the reason for asking them, are sometimes incomprehensible.

Actually, that's one reason why I answer more than ask. I'm afraid I'll get crap answers. I think to myself, "Ok, how can I phrase it so they'll read first??" A lot of people just care about the points of answering questions rather than giving a good answer that actually makes sense.

I often doubt that the questions are read in their entirity.. I think many people simply read the bold parts and ignore or skim the rest..
Not surprised at what you found though. I have seen it several times myself ESPECIALLY in the music folders!

Yes, I do actually read questions before I answer them. Like you though i have noticed that some people don't seem to be able to understand simple questions, even when they are written in correct gramatical English. It is one of those irritating things about this site.
