I know I plug it into the outlet, but do I also plug it into the amp.
My amp has a speaker input but I don't think I plug it in there.

Yeah, plug your guitar into the input on the pedal, then from its output to another effect or the amp. Normally, you wanna place the distortion last in the sequence because it produces most buzz that would be processed by other effects if the distortion were the first in line.

You plug it into the same input as your guitar. Instead of plugging your guitar into your amp, plug it straight into the pedal input. From the pedal output you go straight to the amp 0db input. You make a chain. Guitar, pedal, amp. It just goes between your guitar and your amp.

u kno the cable used to connect your guitar w/ the amp (without the pedal) well connect the guitar with the pedal, then get another cable for the pedal-amp
