tenant landlord laws?

My husband had received a 3-Day Notice To Pay Rent, the landlord is asking for an associated fee of $35 for typing it up. Can the landlord do that?

Yes, it's called a late payment fee. In all likelihood it's spelled out in your lease.

Unfortunately in this day and time yes. Any more they try to charge you for just about anything.
