6x^2 - 15x - 9 = 3(2x + 1)(x -3)

2x^2 + 2x - 24 = 2(x + 4)(x - 3)

4x^2 + 2x = 2x(2x + 1)

x^2 + 4x = x(x+4)

If you have a/b divided by c/d, it becomes a/b * d/c

So, now you have:

3(2x + 1)(x -3) * x(x+4)
-------------------------------------------
2(x + 4)(x - 3) * 2x(2x + 1)

Cancel like terms from the top and bottom and you're left with:

3/4
