For me, it would be these stereotypes:
1.) That all Americans are "fat" and have poor diets (over eat, junk food)
2.) That thin people are superficial and on diets
3.) That people living in the Midwest are all narrow-minded and "unenlightened" (and by the way, I am from north California)
4.) That people from Los Angeles "live in a bubble"
5.) That if a person drives a nice car, has nice clothes, then that means they are rich...when actually it could just mean they worked their rear end off for those things and/or are in debt from it.

I agree with most of your stereotypes being completely played out. BUT i also agree with the other poster who said that some stereotypes are needed and are actually truthful. The one that really irks me is that ALL black people are uneducated, lazy drug dealers.
please.
Im a college graduate and have never used any type of illegal drug and I bust my a.ss EVERY day at my job to bring in my income. Oh, and i'm black.

2.That southern people are stupid. I lived in two southern states(georgia and texas) and one northern state. I see no difference in the intellegence.
3. That shy people are usually crazy (that's what kids at my school say. maybe they just need a little push to talk to people. maybe if people stopped saying that, they would talk to people more.
4 That boys are always more athletic than girls
5 that girls are always smarter than boys
(i am a girl, but it still is not true, just like the last one, it depends on the person, not their sex.)

1) that all white women are subserviant to their men
2)that all black women are loud, obnoxious,gold diggers
3)that a more than 2 young black men doing anything(walking, talking, etc.) equals a gang
4)that all people in the south are cousin lovin', banjo pickin', illiterates
5) or the idea that all white men are rednecks and all black men are criminals

Stereotypes are there for a reason. They come from truth. None of them are just a fad.
Stereotypes apply to a lot of people within that group, but not all of the group.
