if the 30 ounce cost 2.59 $ or 259 cents
so the 1 ounce costs 259/30
= 8.63 cent/ounce
and to the nearst cent = 9 cent/ounce

take the cost divided by the oz #...so 2.59 divided by 30. u get .086..so about 9 cents if u round.

divide 259 by 30; the total cost divided by the number of onces will yeild the cost per ounce.
