I got a violation.. do to my answer to this question here is the link.. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AuBC8jk9q4SV1aYsvUbZX9IjzKIX?qid=20070124192342AAHMj8h
my answer was Simply... Do you even read the news? Your children are no safer in christian school.. I am thankful to not associate with people as ignorant as you.
Why did I get the violation? This woman Is plainly disrespectful more so than what I had wrote..
This Place really should be looking into the questions.. before sending the violation its self.. She was asking for a opinion and she got it.. so whats the problem? I am lost.. I think the others have answers along the same line as my own..

Without question your answer was not rude, nor was it in violation of any terms of service with Yahoo! The definition of ignorance according to Merriam-Webster Online is:
ig·no·rance
Pronunciation: 'ig-n(&-)r&n(t)s
Function: noun: the state or fact of being ignorant : lack of knowledge, education, or awareness
The person who asked the question obviously lacked the knowledge, education and awareness (not one but all three qualifications to being ignorant) of the topic. There was no factual basis used in the question or the answer when there are plenty of data out there to dispute every point made by both the question asker and the person who answered.
Having your answer be a violation and to remove your answer while leaving the question in place (which currently has 23 thumbs down and at least 3 reports) says a lot about Yahoo!
My Report to Yahoo! is as follows:
"Enough persecution of gay men and women. I'm tired of seeing these types of questions on yahoo answers and seeing the questions remain. There is no factual basis for this question and the answer chosen as best answer is just as bad.
If this is the policy of Yahoo! to leave these types of questions on the site then I am afraid I'll have to start using other forms of email, search engines and allow my clicks to go to some other company that will take a stand against such hatred in the name of a religion."
I think we've all seen enough of the hatred toward gay and lesbians on Yahoo! answers and I seriously do not believe they care less. If they did care, the question wouldn't still be posted, the best answer wouldn't have a question to belong to so the hate spreading would have ended there. Instead, Yahoo! has chosen to remove an educated reply and leave the religious based hate spreading question. I give the big thumbs down to Yahoo!

Well whoever said rules were fair? How many of us have been pulled over for speeding despite the fact a half dozen cars just flew by !!!! Well ok maybe I am the only one ..but it still seems unfair. Or how many times do people get all indignant because you’re dating a lady younger than you by 15 or 20 years... who made up that rule? I mean people are often very unfair, and uneven in there assessments of others and in their administering a judgment against them but then they have their value system and opinion and the power to use it as they will for whatever personal therapy that may give them. We have all been misjudged before in life...and this is no different...most of the people using this service will if they use it long enough be given a violation that seems silly. Some people think I should get a violation when I notice the natural very sensual fragrance of a lady and tell her that she smells good ..*wicked smile* .... but then that is another story ..no? My late daddy use to say, we cannot always control other people or the events around us but we can ALWAYS control how we allow those people or events to affect us. Be happy. This is a great place to exchange ideas, thoughts and opinions and sometimes even help open up a mind or confront a closed one. Which in the end is worth a violation …no?

You probably got a violation for "insulting other participants", namely the person who asked the question.
I read that question, and yes the question was disrespectful...to put it mildly.
But you said "people as ignorant as you.....". You DID "insult other participants. And just because you didn't like the question doesn't mean you didn't violate the community guidelines.
Personally I would not sink down to somebody else's level.

Your response was obviously taken as being rude or insulting by HIM. (Sorry the poster is a dude, hon)
Anyway, I'm not defending the questioners hatefulness either...don't get me wrong. I know I reported that question several times myself.
Honestly I don't know why YOU got the violation notice and not the questioner. I also don't understand why that question has been allowed to remain up either. It's pure vitriol and hate. Anyone with half a brain and a smidgen of a heart can see that.

WOW!!!! Whoever said ignorence was bliss is right and thats just pure ignorence, and I agree with one of those answers. "Not all gays are out of the closet, and he simpily doesn't know whos teaching his/her kids"
Its so sad how people dont let others live their lives.
I understand where gay, lesbian, bisexual ect. people are coming from they are their own person and dont change for anyone cause they have friends of those who accept them. I wish discrimination would just stop...not on a homosexuality base but on them all like racism for an example.

I would have thought that SHE would have been reported for insulting other participants. You are right, and plus, unlike that unenlightened asker, she should do research before sounding off about the gay community. If she had done some checking she would have discovered that one doesn't chose to be gay, they are B-O-R-N that way and they don't try to get others to become like them. GOD made them that way. You need to report her for Insulting others.

My answer is still there as well. Someone needs to report her I think. She really is just looking to get a rise out of everyone and I think she has succeeded. I don't think your answer was bad at all! No worse then mine.

Wow!!
It's truly amazing the way some people think. It's obvious that she is one bitter and unhappy woman who is using religion as a crutch and an excuse to hate. I guess she wants us to all be as miserable as she is.
