this is a funny/sad one
ToysR Us story

Hours: Open daily
Location Sunnyvale, CA
Sunnyvale's Toys R Us houses more than playthings. Built in 1970 over an 1800s apple orchard once owned by John Murphy, the store is said to be haunted.
The Toys R Us ghost - Johnny Johnson - haunts aisle 15C, other back aisles and the women's restroom.

Johnson was a wood-chopper at John Murphy's farm where he fell in love with the farmer's daughter. His axe missed the wood one day, cut his leg, and he bled to death. He now roams the back aisles of Toys R Us seeking his love Beth, Elizabeth Yuba Murphy Tafee.

Women report feeling their hair brushed when no one is behind them, faucets turn on and off in the women's restroom and boxes fly off the shelves unaided.

Hours:Open Year-Round
Location:Jamestown, CA
Best Time to Go:Around Halloween for a real spook
A woman checked into the National Hotel in 1897, often ing to the Sierra Railway Station in search of her fiance, John Davies, who left Quincy, Massachusetts in 1895 to work on the railroad and disappeared.
Four weeks later, she was found dead in her room. A piece of paper on her nightstand addressed to John Davies declared her love for him and said she’d never stop looking for him. A local doctor said the cause of death was simply that her heart stopped.

The woman’s name was lost during a fire, but now nicknamed Flo, her ghost stays mostly upstairs where guests report doors slamming, lights turning on and off. Some say their clothing has been dumped out of their suitcases.

When asked if the Winchester House was haunted, my tour guide Rachel quickly replied no. However, others disagree.

Sarah Winchester was the first to report spirits in the house. In fact, she spoke to them nightly, ringing a bell at midnight to summon them. A second bell run at 2:00 a.m. told them it was time to leave. However, it seems that someone might need to ring a bell around the place again.

The unusual goings-on reported in the Winchester House include organ music in the Blue Room where Sarah died, a couple lingering in the corner of a bedroom, cold spots in Sarah's bedroom, and apparitions of Sarah. Perhaps one of the oddest is the smell of chicken soup coming from a long-unused kitchen.

Since Sarah Winchester's death, several psychics have reported feeling cold spots and seeing red balls of light that fade and explode.

At one time the house had some 300 rooms, until it was partially destroyed and closed off after an earthquake. There are groups of 13 things in many of the rooms (windows, coat hooks, etc.) , stairs leading into the ceiling, and a door to nowhere, just to name a few. wild place! She died in the house, but was buried in New Haven, Connecticut.

Manila Film Center, in the 80s while it was being constructed, a floor collapsed, killing the workers. Mrs. Marcos allegedly rushed the construction without recovering the bodies. Some people say, some body parts are embedded in the concrete. "Bahay na Pula" or the Red House in English located in San Ildelfonso, Bulacan was once a place where many Filipino women were raped and killed by the Japanese soldiers during WW2. While Malacanang Palace may be haunted figuratively, some say lost souls roam the palace complex.

I'm actually from Ohio as well. The city where my friend lived has a ghost story. Supposedly, if you park on this one bridge at night and turn your car off, then honk your horn, you can hear babies crying. The story is that an escaped criminal kidnapped a few babies a long time ago, killed them and threw their bodies in the river.

We did it but we didn't hear anything. Some people have, and I believe them. Send me a message and I can tell you the real story.

I live in North Carolina and there are many tales. There is even a book out called "Tar Heel Ghost Stories". One of the stories in the book is about a girl back in the late 30's that was killed in a car wreck on her way home from a prome on Old High Point Rd at the old overpass and they say on the night she was killed that people would seeing hitchhiking and stop and pick her up and carry her home to find when they pulled up in her drive that she had disapeared. When they would go to the door of the house the lady there would tell them the story of her daughter's death. She was killed at the Old High Point Rd Bridge. The road has been changed over the years and the overpass has been by-passed due to progress, but the old overpass is still there all overgrown with weeds and honeysuckle and they say on rainy foggy nights that on the anivercary of her death she still appears.OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO There is also a story of a man that hanged himself during the civil war in an old prison cell and to this day you can still see the shadow of him hanging on the wall in the cell. They paint over it, but it keeps coming back. BOO!!!!
