Do you mean when your temp rises or drops? Usually right after your temp drops, it will rise, showing that you re ovulating. If you are trying to get pregnant, remember that you have to have sex BEFORE you ovulate, not once you ovulate.

No, the thermal shift indicates ovulation has already happened and the egg is dead and gone if it wasn't fetrilized.
