I am good friends with several of my ex's. They do mean a lot to me. Obviously there was something that you were attracted to & that shouldn't change even if there are other reasons that you are not compatible. There is no reason that mature people cannot be friends even after a relationship. On the other side of that, if there is a reason not to be friends with your ex that can be a good decision. If your ex was abusive, I'd say to never associate with that person again. Also, you need to be careful that a past relationship does not interfere with a present one.

I think so because you have lots of memories built in that relationship- but one thing are memories and the other is that EX people are just that ( THE PAST) and as I always say if its an ex- I don't look back NO MATTER WHAT!
