Is it really healthy for a ten-year-old to dress like a hooker? Or am I just some puritan throw-back?

No, I don't belive it is healthy either. Its' just what they see in the Magazines and on TV. Society dosn't want to block those things out because they think it's acceptable. It's also part of the parents fault. They should pay more attention to their children. The kids also just want to look older, more mature. I don't see why people fuss so much over getting rid of gay marriages because obvioulsy theres somthing else wrong if kids are dressing like strippers and trying to get boyfriends/girlfriends to do more things with them at age 9. It's a sad world, and unfortunatly the people who are trying to change it just keep getting ignored. www.myspace.com/gaygod Matthew Lush is one of the many people trying to make the world right. I feel the need to tell people about him. Hes wonderful. Im sorry this may not help much, but I agree that I have noticed alot of change in the way our society accepts things. I may be fourteen, but I do think this world could be better.

No ,you're not a "puritan throw-back," and it's DEFINITELY unhealthy! I think it's the hyper-sexuality of media in our culture, almost every "role model" young girls look up to (on t.v., magazines, pop stars) is overtly sexual, ostensibly because it "sells." But why does the objectification of young women "sell" so well? But make no mistake, it is CERTAINLY a failing on the part of the parents, as well.

Regardless of what their kids see, hear or read, the parents' job is to teach their kids right from wrong, and if a 10 year old is dressing like a "hooker", than the parents failed.

Its totally not healthy. But look at our society. Girls are just for decoration. In all the music videos you have hundreds of hardly dressed females dancing around. Not to mention Abercrombie and Fitch sells thongs that say juicy and sexy on them to little girls.

with the aid of fact guy can basically think of with one head at a time lol naw the horamone in men is more suitable inflicting them to have extra of a intercourse force inspite of the shown fact that girls have this besides, yet sense extra that they could look ahead to the suited guy to realize this with. woman could sense confterbul and be with the superb guy in view that for men that's a painless adventure maximum women individuals would have a discomfort their first time. purely men in that way basically run one head at a time.

The media, society, peers, and older girls who dress like a "hooker." This is because the crazy girls have all the "fun" and the boring girls are losers who have no fun. Plus when i go shopping, thats all stores sell, so unless you purposely go a size bigger to not fit you, you tend to look like a "hooker."

Why so many child molestors now? Oh that's right because just like in the old days children are little adults and soon we'll get rid of child labor laws altogether, and they can work in factories just like the good ole days!

Its the parents who let it happen. The movies they let the kids watch, the singers who sing songs about sex and the parents who let them listen to them, the poor role models that appear in newspapers, magazines, the Teen Cosmopolitan Magazine and the parents who let the kids buy them or buy them for them and the movies, easy uncontrolled access to the Internet, all in all its the destruction of the family unit, while parents want to have everything right NOW and therefore provide no or inadequate supervision after school and last but not least the Women's Liberation Movement who told woman you're worthless unless you have a job.

All of the above answers, plus pedophiles. I read that quite a few grown men buy Cosmo Girl and similar magazines, along with their porn. (Yuck! but true) So, even though the magazines are supposedly marketed to young girls, it's not just young girls who are buying them.

Probably the men who get hard-ons from the sexualized little girls who own the television and radio stations who direct the movies who design overpriced and uncomfortable women's clothes who own Victoria's Secret who are paid more than women for the same jobs who frequent strip clubs who keep prostitutes in business who run the government who shoot their daughters in the head for (not) losing their virginity: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070125/ap_on_re_mi_ea/jordan_honor_killing;_ylt=AtLF9.HgTABbMl_GYUMQLk2bOrgF;_ylu=X3oDMTA4NTMzazIyBHNlYwMxNjk2
