Using the line-in cable supplied by Creative and plugging it into the aux input on the car stereo, I changed it to auxiliary, the mp3 shows it playing but no sound from stereo. Sound does come from mp3 and headphones but I want to play it in my car. I've turned the mp3 off as it suggests, turn on the aux on the stereo and then upped the volume but no sound. Any suggestions? Bad cable? bad auxiliary?

Well it sounds like (ok bad pun) it could be either one. If you have someone with a multimeter you could check continuity of the cable. You could also drop in to a car stereo shop and ask them to check the aux input for you.
