Back when folks were immigrating to America, there were so many poor people that things we take for granted today were very scarce at that time. One of those things would be a nice pair of shoes. It was rare for people to have an identical pair of shoes--they were usually mismatched. So when someone has two matching shoes, they were wealthy.
The phrase "Miss goody two shoes" means someone is basically being called spoiled. It means life must be easy for that person.
