The law says 18! The individual doctor or organization might have its own rules. This is true because of liability. For example:

1.Your eyes change over the years. If you have eye surgery at, say 19, you may need it again at 30. The doctor is scared that you might try to sue him because you need it again. It is just dumb legal paranoia.

2.The same applies to the vasectomy. I got mine at 21. I had to argue my case many times. Why? Because of the same legal paranoia. The doctor was afraid that 10 years later I would change my mind, and claim that he didn’t tell me it was permanent. It is that simple.

I feel any man wanting a vasectomy is entitled to it, so long as he can pay for it. His wife, or future wife, need not even know about it.

Well you probably do not want a vasectomy until you are done having children....so if you are a teen dad and you have your first and last child by 16 I'm sure you can get it done then.......and laser eye surgery is something you would need to talk to the surgeon about! =0)

In most states in America being 18 is the age of consent.

As long as a doctor will do it and has permission, I'm sure they'll do both at any time.

Doctors will be doctors...there's always one that thinks that they know it all.
