Well like I said my sis loves to travel. And her husband not so much on the flying part of it. What can she do? Travel is important to her and she needs help finding a way to get her husband to go on vacation. I dont think it is a debilitating fear but one that keeps him on the side of not being engaged to plan vacations. Any ideas?

He can get a little boost by visiting his doctor for a little pharmacological courage or they can get their courage from a bottle marked bourbon. Keep in mind that all things considered, flying is the safest mode of transportation. The biggest problem with folks fear of flying is the fact you are relinquishing contol of your life to another person. That kind of trust is not easily done. Good Luck!

My husband is the same way except he says he doesn't want to fly because he's not in control of the plane. I have tried everything to help him because it puts a damper on the rest of my family. I'm willing to take a train but I told him he will fly next time. It's called compromising try this with your husband.

Gravol may help him feel better, but if his fear is big enough not to go on a holiday, it will take him time to get over that if at all.

He needs to suck it up...if his wife LOVES traveling, and he has LITTLE fear...he needs to suck it up for his wife...gimme a break. I would go to the ends of the earth to ensure my wife gets to enjoy what she loves...and she me...it is part of the gig.

Get on the damn plane!

Try Amtrak, the train can be fun and educational. Who says you have to fly, see the US by train.
