I'm going to a valentines day party on febuary 9th. i'm starting to make my dress on saturday(tommorow). I want to know if i should wear a red dress, polka dot dress, pink dress, or pink and red polka dots. i need GOOD answers by 9:00 P.M. tonight. Also my hair is frizzy and has LOTS of volume it won't curl either. any way i can get it to curl into spirials and de-frizzed without so much volume that's quick and easy?

That is so fun that you are making your dress! I think you should go for the red dress. Red is a great valentines day color because it always has been a traditional hue. Plus it can be cute AND sexy. I have weird curly frizzy hair. Here is my advice-Blow dry your hair as straight possible. It will be a little frizzy still, but straighten it as best you can. Do you have a high power curling iron?? Use the the most power curling iron you find. Divide your hair into small sections, about 1 to 2 inch sections. Rub in a weightless mousse. I like Aussies two in one conditioning mouse. Now curl you curl the section as tightas you can and hold it for at least 20 seconds, it will steam and be hot. Be careful. Do that all over your heard. Then after you are done, wait for your hair to completely cool down, the pull apart the curls. Set with a little weightless hairspray and you should be good.
Have fun at your party

DRESS ADVICE: white dress with like some sort of a red sash across the waist, or some sort of red to accent it. Either that or a solid red dress with a pink or a sparkly white accent.
HAIR ADVICE: Curls Rock by Catwalk is a curl amplifier. Run it through hair with fingers, and twist into spirals. Guarunteed Shirley Temple-ish look. Air dry DO NOT BLOW DRY. Try it on yourself before you go to the dance, because it works with my hair, i'm not sure about yours.

I think the polka dots sound really cute-if the polka dots are either like pink and white or red and white. Try using John Frieda frizz ease to tone down your frizz.

Use commercial de-frizz, and go with a red dress with a purple sash about the mid-drift. Red or light purple shoes would set the outfit off. Have a good time.

Red silky flowy dress is the perfect way to look beautiful during the Valentine season. Many hair products such as gel and hair spray are available to "tame" your hair. I have tried them myself, I have frizzy hair too. For voluminous hair, make voluminous spirals. If you can, have a hair stylist do your hair, they usually know what's best and how to do your hair. Have fun at your party!
