You sound like you are in a similar situation to me. I thought I was pregnant, and my best friend has been trying to get pregnant for three years. She told me that if I got pregnant that I'd better tell her and not try to protect her. She knew she'd be a little sad, but she'd be very happy for me if I did get pregnant.

Just be gentle with your friend. Say, "I don't want to keep this from you because you are my best friend, but I'm very afraid of how you will react. Please know that I just want to be honest with you, and I'm not trying to hurt you." And tell your friend the truth.

Congrats, and good luck. :)

Oh, I know this would be hard, But you just have to tell her, If she is your best friend, she should be happy for you. Of course, its human nature for her to be a little upset, if she has had trouble getting pregnant...But her being upset, shouldnt be directed at you, Just the situation she is in.
Just be the kind and caring friend, that I am sure you are, and it will all be ok..

This is happening to me now. However, it's me who can't get pregnant.
My best friend and I have both been trying, she absolutely understands my depression about my infertility.
I am SO happy for her, and nothing will take that away.
It is very hard, we lost a baby last year, the same timing as her pregnancy this year.

Your friend, if she is a true friend will be happy for you.

Good Luck, and Enjoy being pregnant!!!!!
It may be easier for us, we both have sons already.

A baby is a blessing from Jesus. It is a miracle! Jesus knows what the bigger picture is even when we can't see it or it doesn't make sense. You are pregnant with the most precious gift God can give you besides himself. Do not treat this baby as anything less. She, being your best friend should be happy for you and continue to wait patiently for Gods perfect timing in her life for his perfect blessings.

Love in Christ!!

Just tell her. I have been trying for 4 years, and my best friend has been trying for 6 months, I WOULD BE SO HAPPY FOR HER. Its both of our dreams to be mothers... So really, I think if she is a good friend, she will be happy too. Good luck

That's a hard one.

The only time I can think of that I've ever seen this happen before was on Sex and the City between Miranda & Charlotte.

You just have to be straight with her. If she's a good friend, she'll understand you didn't do it to hurt her....eventually.

tell her that youre pregnant and that you hear that most women friends, sisters, etc will usually all get pregnant within months of each other. its a good omen for her also that youre pregnant. :)

Had the same problem myself, bite the bullet and tell your best mate, trust me she will be really pleased for you (your the one that will feel bad for her) But make sure she hears it from you and not anyone else first.

Good luck.
