Bleach works best. There are some gel bleaches that will stay on for a while and make it easier.

It depends on what the stain is in your grout. Grout is very absorbent and some stains are deep and can not be pulled out, especially if it is an oil substance that stained it. If the grout is supposed to be white in color, I do not advise using bleach since this can pull the color out of the grout. Steam cleaning is the best way to clean tile and grout. If you have a large area to clean you might want to consider hiring a professional to come out and clean the grout and then have them seal it to prevent further staining. Then it would be easier for you to maintain.

Urine Odor Removal from Tile and Grout Cleaning a bathroom sometimes means removing urine odor from tile and grout. To do this in an efficient manner means getting to the root of the problem.. The newest technology for cleaning bathroom tiles uses peroxide and detergents to penetrate the soiled area and deactivate the odor. Simply spray a product like PAWS - Pet Accident Washup Solution on the area, allow to sit for 10 minutes and then wipe clean. Baking soda will also neutralize the smell of urine from in between your bathroom tiles. Make a paste of baking soda and water and clean with a toothbrush. Let site for about 30 minutes and wipe with a damp sponge. If the odor persists, repeat until the odor is gone

From my experience, nothing works better than the bathroom cleaner.. (maybe mr sparkle? not really sure what it's called but it comes in a green, aerosol can with a scrub brush with a face on the label - generic is called "bathroom cleaner")
spray heavily, let it soak for a few and scrub it with a hard bristled brush or a toothbrush if you want to get it real good and even.
it works as well as bleach with no pungeunt odor and no discolored stains or areas that didn't quite get clean enough, but it takes some time and definitely some elbow grease.
when you're done, seal it up with grout sealer you can buy at home depot... no one wants to do THAT twice :)

Bleach should do it. I saw on a TV program the other day they now have a grout stain, you wipe it on the lines of grout let it dry a few minutes and then wipe. Local hardware stores should have it, or Home Depot etc.

There are all kinds of grout cleaners on the market. The only home remedy I have used is bleach and a toothbrush. Not much fun, but it works.

Try Lime-Away or CLR. If that doesn't work Melaleuca has a great product called Tub' n Tile. Even better if you combine this product with their cleaning booster called Solumel. You have to order their stuff online. They are tea tree oil based products and are non-toxic. I used it to clean up old calcium deposits on my tile and it worked. I don't sell their stuff so there's really not alterior motive here.
