It has never happened to me before ... but that happened to a friend of mine when we were in school. She was a virgin too and took a test for some reason or another and it came back positive. I don't know why, but that is what happened.

Don't worry ... if you haven't had sex then the next test will show the correct results. And yes ... sometimes "mix ups" in the clinics can happen.

Good luck to you:)

Yes, these errors can happen in blood tests because there is always a margin of error. The tests may have been read wrong, or may have just offered a false positive. Every pregnancy tests has a margin of error, and it can happen to anyone. If it comes back positive once again, your doctor might ask for some other tests to be done- more accurate ones. My thoughts are with you and I hope that you are able to keep a strong mentality towards it. Since you know you are a virgin- you obviously cannot be pregnant, it's just nearly impossible- the only way to get pregnant is through intercourse and artificial insemination (which I'm pretty sure has not been done to you). P.S. if your acne really bad, I suggest trying Proactiv if you haven't already. I used to have really bad acne, but proactiv cleaned up nearly all of it (even though it is a little bit pricey). Good luck, hopefully, it's just a false positive. Try to keep your mind clear of the issue, as it's very hard to get overwhelmed in a situation like this.

Yes, there can be false negatives and false positives in blood tests, sometimes caused by medication which you are taking.

And without meaning any disrespect to you (I believe you when you wrote that you are a virgin), if you have been allowing some boy to get almost there but not further (sorry for writing this but this is for educative purpose), it does sometime happen. Unless you are also on pills for birth control.

So, if you are not in any relationship or involved in even casusal dating where the scenario described has taken place, don't worry and tell ur mom also not to worry. Show the meds all the pills that you r taking now and let them do the retest.

If you are truly a virgin then the only way you could be pregnant is if you were fooling around and the guy ejaculated on you, like on your lower belly or upper thigh. It is rare for pregnancy to occur that way, but it has happened. Most likely you got a false positive. You don't even have to wait to go back to the Dr. You can buy a home pregnancy kit at the drugstore and get quick results. Good Luck, I hope your Mom ad the Dr. apologize to you when it turns out you are not pregnant, but try not to be too mad at your Mom.

If you're a virgin then it must be an error, nothing to freak out about. Have you taken any type of medication, even over the counter stuff? Maybe that could screw up the results or maybe they simply mixed up the tests with someone else's.

Yes. There is such a thing called a false positive. And a high HCG level can mean there is something more important wrong. It also depends on if this was a urine or blood test. Be patient, and your mother will understand soon after and she'll get off your back. Good luck.

If you have been doing sexual stuff ( not intercourse), and if he has cuum on or with you, you very well could have transferred sperms to your vagina. If nothing like that has happened, then the test is just a false positive. The story of the virgin birth was just bool sheet.

If it was a urinalysis, it could be indicative of other hormonal issues rather than pregnancy. False positives are not uncommon.

The blood test will tell for sure.

Just know that life is not an episode of Maury, and if you're pregnant, no amount of denying you've had sex will change the fact that you have.
