my cervix was checked two days ago and I was 3 cm dilated and 70 % effaced. that night I had a little bit of spotting. today I've been oozing a lot of white/clear discharge. Is that normal for after an exam or could it be a sign of early labor? My contractions haven't been strong but if I was 3 cm dilated two days ago, would I still be dilating pretty fast, or am i just oozing from being open?

Yes the oozing is normal. It is just the body secreting extra discharge and it increases the closer you become to delivery. It will make you feel wet all the time and make you feel like you are going into labor. But also the exams given to you by the doctor can cause you to bleed and that is normal. It happened to me. You are dialating normally and even though you are three you are a long way from ten so you have some more symptoms to go. And no you are not oozing from being open that discharge that you have has been there since the beginning of your pregnancy. But now that the baby is getting ready to position herself into your pelvis. But that i am sure is what it is

You've probably already lost your mucus plug if you are 3cm dialated.. As far as labor, if you haven't any contractions then your not in labor yet, but it sounds like it's close. Get plenty of rest....

Good luck

Sounds like you are losing bits of your mucus plug, or maybe you are just discarging. Haha, dont get too hastey though, I was dialated to 3cm's for about 2 weeks.

Good luck!

The white discharge is very common in late pregnancy, it is nothing to worry about

Could be discharge; could be mucous plug. If you aren't having contractions, you aren't in labor.
