So I have this ring, and it means a lot to both me and my girlfriend that I wear it - it's our promise ring, but my skin seems to be sensitive to it, and it leaves a green ring on my skin after I've worn it. I've tried the clear nail polish on it, but it just doesn't work - any hints or tips to solve this problem?

Wear the ring on a necklace.
Green ring left, means the ring is fake.
try scrubbing with soap and water.

It's a super cheap 3$ ring. That is the only reason for the green ring. If it were just a skin irritation it would be red and or itchy.

It's a cheaper quality ring that's causing a reaction from the metal rubbing on your skin. You can buy clear thin wraps to go on the inside to prevent the rubbing or try putting clear nail polish on the inside - it's a temp fix, but if it means a lot it's something to try.

The green residue usually means the metal is not sterling silver or solid gold. Unfortunately your girlfriend gave you a cheap ring made mostly of copper but maybe try wearing it on a necklace or buying a real ring.

the ring is not silver or gold. And the only way to stop this from happening is to stop wearing the ring on your finger. Place the ring on a chain and wear it around your neck. At-least you are still wearing the ring. God bless****

its just an allergy to it. there's nothing you can do to stop your skin having this reaction.
if its a special ring try putting it on a chain and wearing it that way.
