i got a used stroller/carseat from a friend. its been in the basement and the covers are covered in mold/mildew. any tips? i would like to make it nice as possible so i can use it.

Pour undiluted white distilled vinegar into a spray bottle. Vinegar is great at getting rid of mildew, and it also eliminates the bad odor. Spray the vinegar onto the affected areas. Let it sit for several hours, ideally outside in the sun.
Use warm, sudsy waterand a rag, to wash it, and hang the garment to dry in a clean, dry place.

Lemon juice and salt, keep the mildew stain wet with lemon juice untill the stain fades, May take a day or so, also clove oil is good but is the worst smellever!!!

I think if you use house hold washing up liquid, some thing like Fairy, wash with a soft sponge then with a damp cloth several times to make sure you remove all the soap, then leave in the fresh air , then finish off with a hair dryer just to make sure it´s dry

well, you're not gonna like this but..
since you're putting your baby in the car seat, it might be a better idea to NOT soak up all the bleach and amonia in the bedding and rather just buy a new one for 45 dollars.

Wipe it with cold water and ammonia.

Bleach it to make sure the stuff is dead.
