Forgiveness is for the offended, not the offender. It's for you to stop making the offender wrong.

Forgiveness is important for your own peace of mind. If you can forgive others, you can forgive yourself (although sometimes self-forgiveness is more difficult). Knowing that, you should be able to sleep at night - if you can forgive and ask forgiveness as well.

True forgiveness allows us to free ourselves of the anger and hatred brought about by the act. Harboring those emotions only causes us more grief and sadness. Forgiveness is not only for the one that caused the hurt. It is healthy for the one hurt also.

Forgiveness isn't good for the person your forgiving but for you.Because it lets you move on. But if you don't forgive it's just going to eat away at you.Forgive but don't forget so you won't let it happen again.
