How do you know that you're the best, is that just you talking yourself up or have you been told this by coaches, fans or other teammates? If you're just saying it about yourself with no objective feedback, then it may very well be that you aren't as good as you think you are and the players playing ahead of you are getting off the bench because they're better and deserve it.
If you want to know why you aren't playing and what you can do to get more playing time, then you should sit down and discuss it with your coaches. Ask them why you're not playing, ask them what you would need to improve/do more of in order to get called off the bench. See if any of them could work with you one-on-one to help you improve your game. Coaches aren't just there to call plays, they're also there to help you learn the game and help you play better, so you may as well take advantage of that.

It's because you THINK you are the best on your team and work twice as hard. Obviously your coach disagrees. Learn to think about the team rather than yourself, then you may find yourself on the court more often.

From the way you type, you seem to be very young. What most young players fail to realize is that the coaches want players to play within the system they've implemented or to follow orders and commands. If you are playing outside that structure they will sit you because they usually know what they are doing and have been coaching as long as you have been alive.

If you are as good as you say, (which im not denying) then maybe ther's one thing he wants you to work on. Its not overall, coaches break it down into a bunch'ov basic skills. Good luck, and try to find out that 1 thing that's probably bothering him.

Maybe you have the American Idol syndrome and think you are great when in-fact you are lousy. Or the person who is starting in your position is better. Or you are smoking some good stuff that you need to share with the rest of us.

It's either politics (maybe you did something to get yourself in the coach's doghouse) or he wants bigger faster guys on the court, regardless of their skill.
