Even though the majority of the bad food they burn off anyway.

They don't burn it off, they are cell making machines. You want them to multiply healthy cells not damaged cells. You want them to have a bullet proof immune system, not sick leave from school. You want them to be able to keep up brain function, not lose focus.

I'm the mom and it's my responsibility not to give into junk. I'm in charge of making sure they know how to prevent illness and disease. The whole idea is not to wait until they fall of the cliff and address the problem when it's too late.

The pay off? Better behaved kids who feel really good from the proper nutritional tools. They are not starving, they have plenty of fun healthy sweet tasty stuff to snack on.

Yes, I really try to. My first child I did not do this with. She ended up only wanting McD's all the time. My youngest daughter now, 16 months, I try to mainly give only fruits and veggies to. I really try to give healthy snacks only. So far it is working....she is addicted to fruits and veggies!

No, you let them eat junk until they blow up and immediately they turn 15 tell them, "Ok -- it's time to learn about vegetables!"

Seriously -- the younger a person is to learn something, the easier it is to stay with those practices.

I don't have kids, but no, I wouldn't.... I mean I wouldn't force vegetables down their throats or anything. I wouldn't let them walk around with a Ho Ho in one hand and a lollipop in the other though.
