My black trousers were ironed on the right side with a too hot iron and there are numerous shiny marks on them. Is it possible to remove or at least reduce the appearance? The fabric contains elastane, polyester and viscose - and they have a feint pinstripe. Thank you for any help

When new it is best to iron them with brown paper on top. Sorry but i am not sure how you can get rid of the shine already there.

To avoid this happening, you should have used a pressing cloth when ironing them. But you still might put a damp cloth over the trousers and press or if you have a steam iron press them with steam and with a pressing coth beween iron and material

try ironing them reverse with a damp cloth on top that might not lift out all the shiny marks but will get rid of some , next time iron them reverse

Not sure if this will help.........rewash the trousers, and then iron inside out with a medium hot iron. Black always seems to do better when ironed inside out - not sure why
