Seriously, are we a nation of fourth graders? There are actual positions other than "Bush's" and "the enemy's"- the position of every expert Bush has ignored, for example.
Am I supposed to believe that the insurgents base their willingness to attack our troops on watching C-Span?
Were the flowers and candy put away only after the anti-war movement gained momentum in this country?
Why does disagreeing with the president equal support for the enemy?

Politically Incorrect:
You say Saddam told his guys they were winning and that they believed him. YOU MAKE EXACTLY MY POINT!!! WE CRUSHED THE IRAQ ARMY!!! No matter what they watched or who blew sunshine up their keisters, they got beat.

You guys talk about "the enemy" and "winning." Who are the enemy? The Sunnis? The Shia?
What is winning?

Bravo to this question!

I've had it up to ^ here with those who call others liberals, cowards, socialists, etc. because those people have actually been paying attention and realize we need a new direction in Iraq. The old "cut and run" b.s. is exactly that, b.s. Bush's policies have failed in Iraq, plain and simple. To ignore that and stick your head in the sand is not only irresponsible, it's moronic. I suppose there will always be those who blindly follow anything the President and his few remaining supporters spit out in the hopes anyone is buying it anymore.

I've also been really aggravated by those who claim the Democrats (as though the Democrats are the only ones against this mess) have no alternate plans, in fact that NO ONE has offered alternate plans. Do they not watch the news or read? Did they miss the suggestions of the Study Group? Have they missed the many suggestions made by Dems and Repubs alike that have been discarded out of hand by Bush? I've seen people ask that question on YA. They ask "Where's the Democrat's alternative plan?" I answer, giving them the suggestions I and most other people have heard and rather than acknowledging it they just give me a thumbs down and pick someone who agrees with them as best answer. If they really don't want to know why the hell do they ask? I can respect someone who differs from me politically, but I can't respect those who act like hate-filled lemmings without any working brain cells. If you disagree and think Bush is right, then say so and say why. If you disagree with the suggestions made by others, then acknowledge those suggestions and say why you disagree. It wouldn't hurt either to stop pretending that it's only Democrats and liberals who have legitimate criticisms, they need to start acknowledging the members of their own party who have publicly withdrawn support from Bush. It doesn't help any of us to stay blind and dumb when our country is in trouble.

Q#1: No, the Bushittes will say it over and over again, until the public believes it. Claiming that a house divided will fail, that if you disagree that you are somehow anti-American, or unpatriotic. That is plain bull****
Q#2: Yes, the Bushittes would like you very much to believe that, in fact the Bushittes would discourage free thought of any kind, and have you believe anything and everything they tell you to believe.
Q#3: Okay , you got me, flowers and candy? I told my friends before the 'war' started, when i heard an interview with the then presidential candidate bush, that he was going to get Saddam because he tried to kill his daddy. His whole time before the war was spent trying to manipulate the public into supporting a war that HE wanted. WMD's my butt.
Q#4: According to what the Bushittes would have you believe, any disagreement with what Bush wants would be supporting the enemy. If they could get a law passed it would punishable by imprisonment without constitutional protections, you know that only the supporters of Bush deserve the protections of the Bill of Rights. Because everybody else is a terrorist and criminal.

1) Winning is having a workable government that can hold its own against the insurgents and terrorists.

Over 2 million people were killed in the Vietnam war beause we left too early. Are you really a peace activist if you allow the death of two million people who can not defend themselves???

It does embolden the enemy in an insurgency. An Insurgency relies on people jioning up from within. If you tell them our military kills all insurgents easily and our countries behind our military doing this. Would you join the insurgency. But if you tell the same person america really wants to get out and if we have more people we can push them out. Then those who push America out will have control of Iraq. Do you want to be in the ruling class?? Now will you join the insurgency??

Some seem to think that being silent and watching iraq continue to fail is patriotism. Pointing out dangerous flaws in government policy is Patriotism. Telling people to "Shut up and get in line with the President" or "If you don't like it, move to France" is the antithesis of Democracy. Waving a flag is Nationalism. Dissent is Patriotism.

Its a fact. When Islamic fundamentalist leaders speak out and say the USA is weak and cant get along and will fall because they are infidels and they comment on a recent event in which there was dissent in the USA.
Well that pretty much makes the case.

I'd give you a "thumbs up" on that if the option still existed.(Oh, how I miss it.) Judging from some of the Q&A on this board, I believe some are of grade school age. Especially the trolls.

Dissent does embolden and assist the enemy. Just look at what jane fonda did during vietnam.

The democrats are going to withhold funding from our servicemen and servicewomen, they are assisting the enemy.
