I'm not necessarily referring to 9/11, but al-qaeda as an organization in Somalia and Afghanistan. What did he do to stop al-qaeda? Nothing.

This is truly a sad state of affairs that we have.

Bush wasn't worried about Bin Laden or Al-Qeada because his dad had them personally trained by the CIA to fight the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan while Bush Sr was head of the CIA.

the main significant reason is probable with the aid of fact the Clinton administration advised the Bush administration to make bin encumbered their #a million protection concentration. in view that that advice became coming from Clinton, Bush quickly disregarded it. Plus they have been busy attempting to discover the thank you to attack Saddam, and build an oh-so-significant missile protection equipment.

In case you forgot, Bush did not ignore them! They simply didn't have enough information to go on as to where and when the attacks would take place. To go on vague information would be the same as playing a guessing game - can't guess where or when and, without adequate or specific enough information about 'when' and 'where', there isn't much Bush or the authorities could have done about it.

I second bigSey's comment. Clinton didn't do a thing about Bin Laden and therefore, Bush is taking the heat from Slick Willie's unfinished business that HE should have taken care of! Clinton just didn't want to ruffle any feathers with his 'friends' in the middle east.

I'm no math genius, but that's nearly 8 months.
8 months.
I hope that whatever political statement Bush made by rejecting the Clinton strategy, he can sleep at night thinking it was worth it.
I don't think it was worth it.

I appreciate your follow up note, then it is clear you are being sarcastic, and really pointing to the fact the Clinton administration ignored years of threats and hints at what was to come. Of course, both administrations could have done better.

Bush had 8 months of info to work on from his own people. Clinton had 8 YEARS and never lifted a finger about bin Laden.

Compared to the eight years that Clinton had been warned and even had the architect in custody then let him go.

Some leader huh?
