The site does not allow scripts that could possbile contains virus or worms, but you do have to worry about someone stealing your account. On the MySpace, it has a section on how this is done and how to protect your against it. Running your machine without protection is a risky venture. AVG is a free anti-virus software you can use. Here's a link:

Myspace does indeed have viruses. More than you'd imagine.
However norton is crap anyway.
Here is what I do
I have AVG free version and it's really great.
then I do a spyware scan.
I have spybot and ad aware. they're both great but can't be run at the same time because they work against each other.
you can run one of those and avg at the same time though.
honestly just get the avg and one of the spywares or both and just work with those.
you'll be fine!!!
my computer has never crashed and that's all I use!! download on the net!
download.com and search which you want.

The website itself has no viruses but the content people put up is not always safe to click on and such. Just be aware what you are clicking on and downloading from other peoples myspace pages.

Yes. MySpace itself doesn't have Malware. Some of the Sites on MySpace have links that put Malware on your computer.
If you do not have an AV program, go to this download site and get AVG 7.5. It is free. You can also get AVAST here. It is Free.

Myspace is absolutely fine- it's the links that HACKERS [people who hack into other's accounts] give you that might give you a virus- if you're safe, you'll be just fine =]

Definately. I strongly recommend you BLOCK SCRIPTS and a good antivirus app. Many people that use myspace have them and have NO idea they have them. Mostly because a lot of antivirus apps are not as good as they used to be.
