I want to give my whole engine bay a clean look and re-paint my valve cover and clean strut bar, clean intake, and other stuff, ideas? Should I paint my intake manifold or clean it???????

You need to use heat paint if you do.Regular paint will not work for long.

If the intake has a natural finish, just clean it (brake cleaner works well). If it's painted, then re-spray it the proper color.

Go to your local auto parts store and lay the question on them. They usually carry the proper paint for engines.

most intakes are either aluminium or plastic these days so a good clean is all it needs.
