Are they affected by the rain? Eg, would you have to keep your windscreen wipers on? The idea of them really appeals to me?

Lol, A drive in movie would be more value for money I suppose.

Yes, but you wouldn't see very much just driving through. Lol. Sorry, couldn't resist.
Seriously, I was talking to my hubby about this the other day and wondered why we don't have them. Definitely think we should, it would be much more relaxing that sitting cooped up on a stupid chair with no leg room.

That is a wonderful idea, but why not go one step further. Once you park your car, you could walk a short distance to a large building which has rows of comfy seats in it. You could sit in the seats and eat sweeties while you watch the movie.
I think this would work!!!

drive through movies may not work as well as drive in movies, but for uk its not going to catch on really, cold,rain and general weather probs.
and we have smaller cars, not so comfortable.how would the guys in the rear seats see the screen.

they're drive IN movies...although drive through movies would be a great concept.
sadly, most are gone in the US. i wish they'd make a comeback, and I'd definitely go to one in the UK

I like them. I don't think it would be great in the rain, but you could pick one you really don't want to see when it's raining and have some fun with your date.

yeah! as long as the drive in was in a large aircraft hanger or something like that, then you wouldn't need your wipers on, and you could even leave your windows open so you could hear the dialogue.

I guess so, yes! I would be a HANDS UP to it.
Beats peoples mobile phones going off or coughing, sneezing, people wanting to pass you to go to the toilet etc. It would be fun.
