Any relationship needs a man and womans qualities to connect with each other. Therefore what might make a good wife for Joe Bob may not make a good wife for you ... That is what dating is for, to decided what qualities you like or dislike about each other and whether you guys can enjoy your lives together.

Quiet and humble yes. Those are admirable in not just women but men too.
Shamefaced, submissive and meek? No. At the same time she shouldn't be arrogant and bossy. Balance in everything. A woman who is confident without being a ***** makes a good wife.

Nay, lad. A good wife might be quiet and humble, but a submissive and meek wife is usually one that is terribly unhappy and just can't say it. You're better off with someone who is intelligent, assertive and considerate. Someone who will be your partner, not your slave, and will be satisfied in her relationship. If she's happy, she'll be more willing to make you happy, too.

Ummm... if that's what works. Mostly, I think good qualities vary on the husband's qualities. I think it works best when two people are different enough to make up for one another's shortcomings.

Too many men equate shyness with submission.

Um...a good quality to have in a wife is love. And the whole women are doormats thing went out with log cabins and covered wagons.

Lets start with the man first alrighty?
He should be weak,simpleminded,low maintenance,domesticated dutiful,
obey orders,soul income & willing to submit to every womanly need sexually,...
As for the woman...intelligent,demanding of respect,budget minded,dominate in most areas the man lacks,which is 99% of things,(he is good for physical strength duties = 1%)& worldly...
