no famous person should. but things are actually improving, the bengals are actually being arrested( for alcohol) while the cowboys weren't (for coke). vick probably didn't have enough pot in his bottle for a conviction, so the po po let him go because getting him to trial would just have made them look as bad as him. you gotta realize that years ago we didn't have 24 cable covering maurice clarret, marcus vick etc. this guys are basically nobodies whose fame is created by the media. a few years ago people would just look the other way and everybody would have forgotten about them.

No, it disgusts me how much stuff they already get away with. Some of the things they do out there they would be arrested for if it wasn't on the football field. Example: Albert Hainsworth stomping on the center's head. If he did that anywhere else he would be in jail and have a fine.

No one should get special treatment but remember that athletes are rich and they can afford great lawyers. That makes a big difference (just ask O.J.).

what specialtreatment are you talking about.--like when vick gets exposed all over the media last week for having a bottle that may have contained pot.--and then they announce it wasnt.--yeah thats some treatment.--how would you like it if they said that to you and blasted your name in your neigberhood as doing something you didnt do for days on end.--then for all of two minutes one day that say-oops--its wasnt true.--some of you folks convince me you have to be brainwashed and have no common sense and dont look at the other side or put yourself in their position.

No but unfortunately that's how life works. When a society grows and becomes more complex the elite become more and more distant from the rest of us. Life caters to the priviledged, and the rest of us have to live with it.

no, they're citizens of their country of origin, and must obey the laws of that country. If the country favors the athlete, it will end in political turmoil, and laws will then be useless.

I don't think they should, but I also know that it happens. Pro sports is big business, and like any other big business they have the resources to take care of their employees - in this case, the players.

No not at all. They have to obey the law like the rest of us regardless of their fame.
