the amount of wrinkles and depth of wrinkles are determined by genetics and the environment. The sun is the worst environmental offender, your genes the worst biological culprit. I've known people who have led very unhealthy lifestyles and they've gotten away with it! Except for alcoholics, even worse than smoking, for the skin. Then again, an oldie who has a face lift and/or botox still looks old regardless of high tight or smooth the skin looks, all it does is look like a mask. Their eyes (inner) will always give the age away on the face. I've also seen much younger people with quite a few wrinkles but you can still tell that they're young. There's something that comes from within that betrays age, whether young or old.

Yes it can if you use the right products. Just using high street brands won't really do much, they are just overpriced moisturizers. But if you use products with antioxidents, this can prevent wrinkles. But the most important thing to prevent skin ageing is staying out of the sun, always use sunblock and don't smoke. If you take good care of your skin now, it will pay off in the long run.

Also just to prove my point, medical experts say that over 80% of skin ageing is actually caused by environmental factors. So youcan play a major part in preventing that, by following the above advice.

Take care : )

Whilst young you don't need the ingredients that are supposed to lessen wrinkles so you would be wasting a lot of money. All you need is a good moisturiser, a healthy amount of fruit and veg, a high factor sun-screen in summer and from personal experience I will tell you Avoid Cigarettes (Nothing ages your skin faster) and Anti wrinkle creams don't work as well as the adverts make out!!

Using any creams regardless of how much they cost wont stop anyone getting wrinkles, used when younger to prevent or older hoping they disappear and vanish. Use some Aloe Vera Formula to keep skin soft and protect skin. Unfortunately there is no escape for nature regardless what you use . Even Botox and surgery fail after a while. Hope this helps ou. Best Wishes

Try this:

1. Use sunblock and wear a hat.
2. Don't smoke or otherwise abuse your body.
3. Eat healthy...natural foods, fruits - vegetables, etc.
4. Work on your "inner beauty" because whether you're 20, 40 or 60...that's what people will always remember about you.

Age gracefully by learning to enjoy the age that you are!

The thing you need to do is moisturize. It does not have to be wrinkle cream like for your eyes. It is very important to clean your face every night too! I know some younger girls go to bed with make up on. I have always taken care of my skin and at 40 I still look younger than alot of the girls I work with that are in their early to mid 30's.

Wrinkles develop with age and nobody escapes entirely. Taking care of your skin when you're young will certainly help, but it will help the most if you avoid the sun as much as possible and be faithful about wearing sunscreen. Beyond that, look at your parents and grandparents - how you age will, to some extent, reflect how they have aged.

Wrinkles are a natural process as we get older but by looking after our skins when we are younger
we can slow it down a bit and by not damaging our skins by the sun, smoking etc
Its never to early to start using a moisturiser it doesn`t have to cost much

Its not any one thing its a combination.
A moisturizer is a good idea but needs to have anti-oxidants and sunscreen. Be sure to also put some on your neck and earlobes.
Don't smoke. Use 30+sunscreen on your face when out in the sun for prolonged times. Keep yourself healthy and hydrated.
The rest is in your family genes.

All I can tell you is from my experience. NOT SMOKING really has helped me. I'm told I look twenty years younger than I am mostly because I don't have wrinkles. Also having oily skin has helped me out too.
(PS - I'm old enough to retire)
My mother smoked a lot and not only died fairly early but had a bad case of wrinkles.
