i know that when you take antibiotics it kills you birth control pill well makes it not effective so how long does it take for you birth control to start working again.?

My doctor told me to use a comdom for thrity days after i was one cipro so i dont know... i did it and i am gald dont want to pg with a tiny one still at home

Give it a week after and just use some other form of birth control like condoms while taking the less effective pill

It is best to you protection during and for at least 2 weeks (Some say longer) after you go off your antibiotics so it can build back up

well even after antibiotics the medicine is still in your body for several days after.... i would say wait a few weeks but to be totatlly sure just give your doc a call and confirm!!!!

Id stay safe and just use protection for the month... THAT is exactly how I got pregnant the first time!!!!! (i miscarried, but now have a daughter)
