We are ready for whoever is best qualified. It makes no difference to me what's in their pants or what color they are.

The situation? You mean International condemnation and distrust? If anything, I would think that would make the timing right for a non white male president, and that's coming FROM a white male. It's time to tell the south that they lost the Civil War 142 years ago and that their values are no longer applicable. They may not be ready, but then they weren't ready for slavery to be abolished either. Let's try to be progressive and be an example to the world, as we have already claimed to be for so long.

You know your totally right, should women or non whites even have the rights to vote? Atually I think you're ignorant. And sexist, oh and racist! America should be ready for anyting. It should not matter if your female or male. It should matter if you have the qualifications. And matter of fact if you were to blame "the situation in America" on a certain sex, I would have to go with male!. So yes, were ready to have a female president.
