Latest news today out of Washington. President Bush has declared open season on Iranians in Iraq. That it is ok to "kill' or "capture" Iranians in Iraq. He has declared war on a whole race of people.Does this remind you of someone in history?
How do Iranian Americans feel about this? I am concerned for my nephew who is to be deployed to Iraq in a few months.
How much more needless bloodshed will spill while our troops are in the Middle East?
This latest rhetoric from our commander in chief has really got me worried about the emotional state of the man in charge of our military and country.
I cannot remember ever,in history where our President has declared it "ok" to actually kill someone because of their race can you?
Tell me this is not really happening in the year 2007.
Haven't we learned anything in our countries past history especially since the holocaust, and Hitler's hatred of another race of people. I don't understand this logic .

President Bush is not helping the situation,Violence begets violence. Where is the olive branch extended so everyone can sit at a table and discuss the issues at hand. President Carter ,where are you? President Carter would not go out of his way to actively look for people to shoot. I cannot believe what is happening over there.

Obviously Bush is a very desperate man. For him it's his way or no way. Starting an unprovoked war half a planet away just because they have oil. Spending billions, hundreds of billions, with nothing to show for it but death and destruction. It's unbelieveable. America could have solar cells on every roof and an electric car in every garage for that price. Let the poor people have their oil, quit stealing from them. Bush doesn't understand that you catch more flies with honey than vinegar.

Open season is an attempt to legitimize more yank terrorism against a new target countriy.

Step 1: Declare open season on "Iranian agents".

Step 2: Start perpetrating illegal black operations into Iran to commit terrorism and kill Iranians. If the terrorists are captured, claim that they have been "kidnapped".

Step 3: Use the legal arrest of US terrorist by the Iranian government at justification for invasion.

Iranians are not a race, they are citizens of another country and without the proper credentials, have no reason to be in Iraq. Here's the deal; the trend over the last 100 yrs is that democracies, or close forms of one, don't fight each other. The countries that do start trouble don't want to pet the same dog.
If Iran gets a strong foothold in Iraq that is trouble for every democracy.

Way to pull the race card! It's not an issue of race at all! It's about foreign agents supporting the insurgency in iraq. If you read the story, it's not all-inclusive of every Iranian citizen. Nobody is invading Iran.

"The Bush administration has authorized the U.S. military to capture or kill Iranian agents in Iraq who are plotting attacks against U.S. and coalition forces"

doesnt say anything about popping-off run of the mill iranians.

Open season sounds reasonable; I mean the new crop of troops headed to Iraq need some war experience before we head to Venezuela. You know Bush Jr. has his eyes on Caracas too, right?

In all seriousness, I think your rhetoric and assumptions are too literal. You assume Bush Jr. is saying kill any and all Iranians that are in Iraq. You have decided to take a very specific interpretation of his context which I think is false and very different than the intents of Adolf Hitler who specifically wanted the liquidation or subserviance of all persons other than his own race.

In this context, Bush Jr. is certainly meaning any Iranians in Iraq supporting the insurgency and directly participating in undermining the US presence in Iraq should be killed or imprisoned. If you take it in that context, which is what Bush Jr. more likely meant to say (definitely moreso than your interpretation), there actually is logic in his statement.

Bush Jr's assertions have never been aimed at eliminating a race, but rather eliminating a concept known as terrorism.

Politically, Bush Jr. is being stubborn about the war in Iraq (mind you, I don't agree with him and don't believe our troops should have went to Iraq to begin with) because of his commitment to fighting the war on terrorism. In his opinion, he feels that it is safer to fight the terrorists on their home court as opposed to the US, like New York City on 9/11/01.

That is not what was said or what was meant.
Iranians with known connections to terrorist activities.
Iranians with known connections to certain factions ( which are connected to terrorist activies )

Please get all your facts before you speak.
This whole war has become a witch hunt and it is aimed against any and all who can be spoken against. Not just the president, not just Iraqis and not just Iranians.

When will America wake up and realise we aer only fed the version of the truth that the media wants us to know. You only hear of the carnage of how our troops are killing innocent Iraqis and none of the positives of we have terrorists in custody.
Whether you believe in the war or not is not the issue. Stop spreading " anti " messages- no matter who they are about and instead focus on getting to the truth.

Have you prayed about our military? Have you prayed for the commander in chief? Do you vote?

Yes we have learned a lot since Hitler and the holocaust. And that is if you turn your head and cover your ears your enemies will just shoot you in the back of the head. How many times must terrorist's attack us before we stop them permanently? How many times must a rapid dog bite you before you put it down? Hide under your bed if you want to and wait for the Muslims or Islams to come and kill you and your family but George Bush and I aren't cowards and we are going to go protect our country and way of life and if that means a few Iranians have to get slaughtered, then so be it and good riddens. I personally have no compassion for a whole country where it is mandatory for everyone to chant "Death to America" every day after prayers.

you don't know much about history, do you. the Iranians are actively involved with the violence in Iraq. my question for you is why doesn't the Iranian government work for peace instead of fermenting war.
