It depends on what you're referring to as magic. If you're interested in actual earth-based magic, I would suggest reading the book I've listed below. It's gives a good basic overview so you can decide if you want to look into it more.

Yes, real magic exists. True, it's not Hollywood magic--no levitation or transportation or big *poof!*s. Instead, it's like "the power of positive thinking," (or "the Law of Attraction," if you've seen THE SECRET), but with the volume turned way up. By tapping into the energies of the universe through the subconscious stimulation of magical tools--colors, scents, crystals, forces of nature--you are convincing yourself on the deepest possible levels of what you wish, and then acting accordingly and, often as not, drawing that wish to you. I second the recommendation of Scott Cunningham's work. I also like "Positive Magic" and the Farrar's "Spells and How They Work."
And no, it's not the work of the devil. Most of the people who believe that are those who believe that *anything* not of the Judeo-Christian God must by default be satanic. I believe that everything--magic included--is of God.

Vaughn is the closest to the truth. Her only inaccuracy is in lumping all Jews and Christians as a category of magic haters. There are both Christian, Jewish, and for that matter, Sufi magicians, who avoid dogmas and use magic as freely, and, more successfully, than many other users.
The bottom line is:magic does exist. Which of course depends on how you define magic. I have some minimal control over rains. I was able to prolong the life of a person close to death, and of a pet with incurable disease. But I cannot make a toad out of you, nor do I know any colleagues who can. So magic does exist, but no, it is not like in faery tales. There are limitations to magic, and it seems likely nowdays the limitations are greater than they used to be.
To learn about magic you have to look for the numerous sites on Chaos magic online. Although the title might appear intimidating, and I dislike it myself, they have the most accessible theory of magic a beginner can find, anywhere and, I hasten to say, for the sake of a few people obessed with evil, this kind of Chaos has nothing to do with Satan, nor any other demonic entity.
I like their approach more so than any other, because it teaches you how to do magic without any props, at any time, any place, even in public. You wouldn't have to depend on gods, nor even energetic entities of any sort, but do it all through your own powers. Or you can call forces of the universe to aid, whichever you choose. I like the liberty this branch of magic allows, I like what it teaches you about the structure of magical spells. So, that is my recommendation: search "chaos magic" on google and you will find anything you need to know, from scratch.
If you need something a bit more structured, Wiccans could train you, or Order of Thelema organization, or any organized religion whose propents allow a mystical element will do.
There are infinitely many ways of doing magic, or learning about it, and some of the basic tenets you can find online. First decide if you want a structure and then look up magical organizations, or, if you need to begin by yourself, read all you can find on.
Chaos magic. Hope that helps.

You are going to get plenty of answers to this one, from "It's not real" to "It's of the devil" to anything else inbetween. I think you should study the subject yourself and make up your own mind.
To learn about magic is a huge undertaking, as there are many different schools of thought and approaches to the practice. It's a fascinating field though, and you won't be disappointed.
Start learning about the different schools of magic such as the Rosicrucians, Wicca, Alchemy, Hermetic Magic, etc. There is, of course, a vast amount of info, so try to find out a little bit about each, then pick one that you feel works for you and learn more about that particular tradition. A good way to get a general overview of magic is to start on Wikipedia and work your way out from there:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magic_%28paranormal%29
Once you've settled on one, you can find specific texts and other resources all over the web. The best place to start though is at www.sacred-texts.com. They have an excellent collection of scriptures, grimoires and other texts from every major religion, and most minor ones, various myths and legends, etc.
Since magic is rooted in religion, you should also learn more about your own religion (assuming you beling to one), especially the rituals and rites it holds important. From there, learn about other religions, looking for similarities in philosophy and specifically views on what reality really is. Again, sacred-texts.com is an amazing resource for comparative religious studies.
If you need specific advice, or your looking for a specific book, feel free to email me. I've got a huge collection of pdf's and stuff I've collected over the years, so if you need it, I've probably got it.

Yes, real magick does exists and I'm not talking about the kind of things that they show in the movies and on TV. It's not always that extreme. You can learn about it by searching the web and reading books about Wiccan Magick or whatever type of magick you are thinking about. There are different kinds. You should visit a magick store, I'm sure you'll be able to find what you're looking for.

Succinctly put Vaughn, again.
Yes, Magic is real. No, it is not "Of the devil", nor is it "Of the boogey man" nor is it evil in and of itself. It is only as "good" or "evil" as the person performing it, and their intentions at the time.
The people who try to tell you it's evil (Like the idiot directly beneath me) have never even been anywhere near it. They're ignorant. Ignorant of its nature, ignorant of its affects, ignorant of its techniques, ignorant of its culture, ignorant of its theory. The only information they have on the topic was given to them by people who made a history out of killing Witches.
Those who say "I tried it and it didn't work" Should either try harder, try again, or try a different approach. They're often too lazy to put in the time and effort required. Most of the time they just buy a Silver RavenWolf book or something equally retarded, read half a chapter, say a rhyme out loud, and wait for a miracle. And they expected it to work?
It's like any other skill. You need to approach it honestly. You need to approach it with a dedicated mindset, and you need to approach it with an informed knowledge of all the available paths.

Yes it does but not like in hollywood or books. it is without the big fireballs, and hocus pocus flashes.
It is sublime and happens all around us all the time.
It is in the power of belief.
You can find it in ritual (built to build your belief).
You can find it in religion (based on belief)
If you truly want to learn about it you need to prepare yourself to be bored for it won't be the sexy wizard stuff you might think.
It is of the Mind.
Avoid the quaint traditions like wicca, witches and so called druidry. This is all new age stuff and will serve to distract ones search for Truth. Wicca is overwhelmed with feminists and druidry died in the middle ages. All their are neopagan types acting as druids.
if you really want to learn look up hermetic philosophy.
read the Kybalion...study the Emerald tablets.
Meister Eckhart is good reading, so is Rudolph Steiner.

Welp, I would advise staying away from anything that has to do with magic because it is evil, whether it exists or not. I am not even a religous person and still would not touch that crap. I dont even allow a weegie board in my house for fun or otherwise.
