I Just called Apple,Regarding my Ipod, and They said Im 562 days out of warrantee, and they told me I should just get a replacement. My Mom isnt trying to understand that Apple told me theirselves that Its better to get a new Ipod, because I have one of the Ipods that 1st came out. They quit making the model that I have and they dont have parts for it either.I payed $437.98 for my ipod+acessories, and to get my ipod repaired would be around $675.88 Because they dont make my model anymore.HOW THE HELL DO I TELL MY MOM I NEED 2 GET A NEW ONE WITHOUT CALLING APPLE AGAIN,HAVING THEM TELL HER THIS!?

Say: "Mom, can we talk? I am gay. Just kidding! I'm straight as an arrow, but I need a new iPod." She'll be thrilled to buy you one.

Well basically what I did even though mine got stuck in the washing machine. I went to an apple store with my mom and I recycled my ipod and get 10% off your next ipod purchase. Then my mom purchased it and I worked off the money at $8 an hour.
But for your accessories they should still work with your new ipod unless it's like a case.

Well, why don't you earn the money to buy it yourself? I think your mom would be OK with it, then.....right?
Personally, as a mom myself I would be questioning 1) your actual "need" for one at all -- and 2) Why &/or how the Hell I"m going to pay for it. It could be that she can't really afford it right now. But whatever the reason I think you should foot the bill yourself.

The only way is to put Apple on speaker phone and you talk to them and let her hear them say "You need a new ipod", other than that do some extra chores, and tell your mom you love her(as you already should).
Good Luck!!!

at first they sent out first gen iPods as a replacement *probably refurbed ones they never sold* but if I'm not mistaken they ran out of those and are just sending out the new ones, so you should get a nice little upgrade for free :)

Start out telling her how you will earn the money to pay for it yourself. Then tell her that you can do with just the basic iPod, and that you will buy accessories for it AFTER you have paid for the iPod itself. Then ask her if she could loan you the money to get one.

Show her the facts. Explain that repairing your old iPod is more expensive than buying a new one. Have numbers to back it up. Don't just tell her you want one, ask her politely about it.

Sorry, sounds like you need to get a job and buy yourself a new MP3 player. They don't cost a whole heck of a lot, so just get a part time job and buy a new one or find a person that can fix it for free.

Wow, this isnt hard to answer. YOU ARE 18 YEARS OLD!!! get off your bum and get a job. By law you are no longer your mother's responsibility. I know preteens who spend their weekends mowing lawns so they can have an unecessary luxury item.

For one thing....You don't NEED an Ipod..... It's a luxury, and you can do without one. Secondly, why don't you buy your own instead of having your mommy spend her hard earned cash on a new one?
