I was watching soccer on tv and whenever he got the ball everyone booed. I think he is hot and is a real talent and I was just wondering why do people hate him so much?

In addition to all of the (mostly true) stuff people have already said, he's the most pointless player on the pitch. He dribbles into a corner, making defenders look silly, but not developing his team's offensive position. Eventually he has the ball stolen, and given that his teammates had followed him to their attacking side of the pitch, this sets up the other team to counter-attack. I hate watching Ronaldo because he's a waste of talent. To have such great pace and ball control but then waste it on just dribbling around guys with no purpose is almost sinful. And then to make matters worse, he's an arrogant jerk about it too. Grow up, lad, and start playing with your teammates instead of just dribbling in circles!

whoa!!!! its only teams fans that are playing man u that dislike him now, and even now its less than it was at the start of the season. thing is he didn't really do anything bad in the world cup, the press just dont want our wonderkid rooney to go off the rails.
any true football fan would forgive ronaldo for what he did and just admire his fantastic footballing ability. he is close to being the best player in the world and i admire him for the way hes used the critisisms to work harder and improve on his game.
also he doesnt dive any more, and if england can't score penalties then thats their fault (i'm a straight english male btw)

Christiano rondaldo is good, you cant take that away from him. But people hate him because he hasnt really ever stepped up and won. 2004 European cup for example in his home of Portugal his Portuguese national team lost to Greece which is not really a European power house. Also as many people have said it looks as if he takes dives, which i dont care how many people disagree, he has fallen down by himself plenty of times. Finally many people see him as a wimp for that same reason that he tends to fall with the slightest nudge. Christiano Ronaldo will always be hated even if he becomes the best soccer player ever, it has just become part of soccer now.

He is one of the best players from the world!!!!!For me he is the best!I love him!In England he is booed because of the incident with Rooney from the World Cup.It was Rooney's mistake and Cristiano had to be for his country and nation then,not for friends.He played very beutiful,he scored goals and he always made a show on the grass.He didn't think of the people that was booing him.He was sad and the pain was in his heart,but he played and now is in a really great form!!!!!!His dribilngs,croses,tricks and goals are great!!!HE IS NOT.GAY,CHEATER OR DIVER!!!The people are JEALOUS on him because at his age he is so talented,at a great team and the best from the world!!!!Yes,he cryed.But is normally for ALL PEOPLE to cry.EVEN FOR MEN!!!Let him alone!And btw they are JEALOUS too because he is the hottest man on Earth and all the girls love him!My Roony is the best!!!!!!!!Kisses for him!!

Because he's a gay ***! He thinks he's all that. Even u said it yourself he's hot (he isn't btw) so he'll end up like Beckham, he's gonna marry someone famous, gonna start modeling... and is gonna end up in the MLS when he's old...
And also what he did to Rooney in the world cup, even Man U fans don't like him....
He cries for everything and he dives too much.... he should start thinking about acting becasue of all the drama he makes when he's in the field.

Fans in England hate him mostly because of Rooney (I suppose). I think he is good player and can be even better in the future, but the truth is that he likes to show off, and that can be really annoying sometimes. And certainly he is not as hot as everybody claims.

A lot of Man U. and England fans are still pissed about the confrontation between Rooney and Ronaldo in the world cup.
Although he an amazing player with incredible pace and foot skills, I personally think Ronaldo is kind of a cocky douche bag.

he used to be liked by alot of ppl but in the world cup he dived alot..i mean that should be smthing easy and yet he doent knw how htats dumb and he cried in a match cz he was taken out of a game coz he fell on his leg..who cries?? and then after the match he ws smiliing it wasnt like it was a serious injury..

I don't know, maybe cuz they know he's the greatest scuba diver in the entire world!!! Whoosy Cristy is she not?! I don't hate him, but I have no sympathy for him either. He's just not sugar to my eyes...
