I'm 13 years old and in Honors Social and Humanities(High honors english course). I have all A's in my classes and love school. I want to be a tutor. I live in Syracuse New York and would like to tutor somewhere near here. In about a 10 mile radius. I'm trying to set up a tutoring center at my school but I don't think it's going to work. I don't think there are enough teachers to stay after. Please help. I've already posted flyers at my library and I've got somewhere I can tutor(They're letting me at my library) Please help!!

try the boys and girls club and the YMCA/YWCA... also the Center for Women in Transition in your neighborhood. Does a local church offer after-school programs.

Congratulations that you want to give back. make sure you do this work where you have some adults to help and monitor the area.

The first place I would look is at school. Just some tutors can help. Sylvan and all those are expensive and don't guarantee anything except that you have to spend the money. I use the school system all I can. Talk to the counselors. Tap the trees

You could talk to your teachers or school admin and tell them that if any students need help, they can drop your name to the student for tutoring.
