Ok, the computer I am currently using is an old pc from 2000. It has a 80 GB Hard Drive, but the C:/ drive only has 18.6 GB while the D:/ drive has 55.8 GB. How do I move like 40-50 GB from the D:/ drive to the C:/ drive? For some reason the D:/ drive doesn't have anything to do with system recovery like my new pc. It is just a regular drive like the C:/ Drive. I want to do this because I obviously only use the C:/ Drive, so I want more space for it. Thanks if you guys can help me!

you can only do that if they are one drive with two drive letters. Do it as if you where adjusting your paging file and partition the drives

you do no longer let us know how great your C: tension is, because of the fact the D: tension is in user-friendly terms a partition on a similar tension. Like all people else has reported, D: is the restoration partition (fix to manufacturing unit defaults), once you first booted up your computer once you first have been given it, you have been probable triggered with a message approximately springing up a series of restoration disks. in case you probably did no longer try this, do so now, as you'll want them in case you elect to change your complicated tension, because of the fact the homestead windows OS installer, your drivers and different apps that got here along with your computing gadget stay on the D: tension in a compressed format. do no longer format this tension or replace it until you have made an entire restoration set.

You can't move free space, only programs or data. You can uninstall programs, and reinstall them on d drive. You can move pics, docs, etc (not programs) from c to d to give c drive more space.
