Yes..three times. I was in long term relationships. The first one was my high school sweetheart...I was 18.. and just started college. I said no because I thought I was too young. I broke up with him about 6 months later becuase we were in different places. Second time was when I was about 21. My boyfriend and I had a terrible relationship and during one of our many breakups, he panicked and proposed. Of course, I said NO and left. Third time was when about 24 and as soon as he proposed, I knew he wasn't the one for me. I broke up with him. But now...I have finally said yes to my soul mate. I am now 27. I am more happy thatn ever before I can't wait to start spending the rest of my life with him. We are getting married in June!

Yes. I knew the guy for quite a few years (we actually lived together) and one evening we went out for dinner and he asked me to marry him. I just looked at him and said "I can't answer that right now. Give me some time to think about it". The following weeks, all he did is turn every conversation into an argument - so I told him "move out! and the answer to your question . NO!"
Those few weeks showed a side of him that I'd never seen before and there was just no way I was going to marry him and be miserable. To this day, I'm really glad of my decision.

Sure did I said not no but hell no, the guy was a real nut case, we had only dated 1 time, and I got a real bad head ache around 9:00 (LOL) he came to get me the next day and I was already trying to come up with something that would not hurt his feelings, but when i got in the car he said I have something to show you, after I left last night I went to look for us a house and I want to marry you I all but jumped out the car

yes, unfortunately I've turned down 4 men. When I got pg in college & my bf left me I had 3 proposals from my exbf from high school when they found out! Then one of my bf cheated on me then proposed, NO of course. My ex from high school asked me several times over the past 24 years, I've turned him down as well, he's a player, always cheats on his wives. the guy I'm with, I say yes, then he lies to me so I take it back, but no ring is on my finger...not a good time for me to get married and lose 1/2 my "stuff".
I said YES to 3...divorced 3 times! Wife beaters/cheaters!

Yes, I have said no. I didn't flat out say no right away because it was so flattering, but the guy wanted me to change my religion, and there were other problems. I have also not married other guys who talked about getting married, but with them I think it was just talk anyway.

Yes. Twice.
A boyfriend of mine proposed to me, because a woman that he had on the side got pregnant and he was affraid that she was going to go after him. He thought (what a genius) that if she knew that he was married, maybe she would consider an abortion. What a loser.
The other one, we were very much in love, he proposed but he was just too young, he had a beautiful ring too engraved with our names, but I knew that our relationship was not meant to be beyond just being bf/gf.

Yes, I had dated a few men, who, really fell for me, one being an ex, that wanted to re-marry me...I had to say No, to 3 or 4. It was hard, But they put more into the relationship then I did. We were just dating, casual, and they got serious, a little faster then I did.
I take marriage very seriously.

Yes my ex asked me after it was too late to save our relationship. I had wanted to marry him for two years prior and we share a child. I had left him to move on with my life. He asked me to marry him because he thought that would keep me around. He was in no way ready to marry me and I said no, so yes it is possible.

Yes. I had to say no. It was just too weird. It was on our first date and we had only known each other for a few hours.
We didn't even know each other. When I turned him down he got furious and freaked me out!
That was creepy and a little scary. I had a hard time getting him to bring me home and when he did, he didn't speak a single word the whole trip back to my home.
