i need some help with my english homework we are studying shakespear and i need to know why was the "globe" circular ?

I think it was for acoustics. Or maybe so everyone could see.

And actually, some people don't even know if the original Globe was a circle. It might have been an octagon shape.

Firstly, a big "OMG LOL!" to the people who don't realise that The Globe is a theatre and you're not asking an insanely irrational question about the shape of the Earth.

There is some debate on the shape of The Globe, as some people think it may have been hexagonal or Octagonal rather than round.

In any case, I think it was probably round(ish) as that is a shape that can accomodate a large number of people, allows a large space for a stage in the middle, and allows the audience an unobstructed view.

I found plenty of rich sites on The Globe Theatre history of the old and new, but none specifically answer your question. As in a previous answer, optimal seating view for the most people is a good conjecture, though its open air structure apparently left a great deal to be desired in comfort. Another possibility is that The Globe's shape was after the fashion of the Roman Colliseum, the classic open air arena for "entertainment."

The globe is circular because the earth is round. I don't get your question. People orginally though the world was flat though.
