Mellow means ripe, so I think that a mellow person must be of a certain age (or older), having acquired the serenity and calmness which come with age, together with sweetness, tolerance and contentedness.

I've been called mellow, mostly because I take people for what they are, don't let anyone ruffle my feathers. I understand that we are all very different and I also understand that arguing and getting mad at everything and everyone sucks. Just sit back and smile, make everyone think you're up to something...plus you'll be less likely to have a heart attack....

mellow is basicly laid back most of the time and hardly talkative or when they do talk they seem to not care about the situation..."whatever" i am mellow most of the time to where i mostly don't care about anything

Someone who can take the problems and worries in life and talk about them and think about them calmly, they dont get too heated except in extra-ordinary circumstances, and they are laid back in life, which is not to be confused with being lazy in life. Someone who has learned to stop sweating the small stuff.
