Don't know about you guys, but isn't this a bit like the 'channel 4 saga' with BB as the 'voice' for the conscientiously ignorant? When we report abuse do these guys get a 'three strikes and your out'??

What should we or Yahoo do with them? Or is 'Yahoo' really loving the controversy?

Don't get me wrong, this isn't a personal grevience, besides, I'm thick skinned.

I'm playing devil's advocate here since there are always two sides to a story.

Having said that, if some ppl find obvious offensiveness as 'opinion' shouldn't it be kept to oneself?

There can be many ideas, such as deducting points from such members.

But the real difficulty is; who decides!

We've all seen the "Bush is Hitler" type questions here. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AurCxZ0TjUmGtMVd4CB8vn3sy6IX?qid=20070117044106AA1FoE4&show=7#profile-info-abd5eaf91269dedbdcc3baf58544a586aa
Should that question be penalized? I certainly think it's a stupid question, but as long as there are people out there who are that confused, I want to be able to respond! (Even my liberal brother admits "Bush isn't a Hitler. Maybe a Mussolini, but not a Hitler.")

You liberals could probably site quite a few stupid anti-Clinton questions out there. I'm not a Clinton fan (either one) but I agree you can't blame EVERYTHING on them.

The point is, who decides what is pointless & insulting.

Well apparently you can have your question taken off...I know I did! And when I got the email it came along with a warning also. There wasnt anything offensive about my question..no slandering, no cussing, maybe contriversial and thats about it. :(

But apparently only Christians have the right to freedom of speech...meh.

But what should yahoo do with them? Unless the question is posted with foul language and and in an unintelligent manner I say keep them on..

But then again whos to say whos going to far...

This is a forum. This is a place where we can ask, answer and discover without worrying about consequence. This is a place where we can express ourselves freely (with minimum censorship). So what if someone is annoying or controversial. You don't have to like it, but don't try to take it away from those who appreciate the chance to express themselves freely.

Us Americans are always trying to control things and make them how we feel they should be.

Yahoo is only getting rid of the offenders in a PC manner. Liberal offenders get to skate.
