STEP 1: Clean the wound immediately with soap and water, rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide. STEP 2: Put pressure on the wound to stop bleeding. STEP 3: Hold the wound above your heart if the bite is on your hand or arm. STEP 4: Place a clean bandage over the wound. STEP 5: Assess

* Be careful, the mouth is filthy!! You may develop an infection, and most likely, you'll need a tetanus shot because of the puncture. Call your doctor.

well just like you need different anti-venom for different snakes, you'll need different treatment depending on the certain human that bit you. If at all possible, you should try to catch this human in a glass jar, or equivalent, so they doctor and be sure to use proper treatment. There is a possibility that the human that bit you was not venomous and therefore, the bit will require no treatment, but it's always better to be safe that sorry.

The human mouth has a lot more bacteria than just about any animal's (except the monitor lizard...their bite is so nasty that their prey typically die of infection within a couple of days of being bitten).

Though not as foul as a monitor's mouth, you can still get a pretty nasty infection from a human bite. Your safest bet is to go and see a doctor. If you suspect any type of infection, ie redness, swelling, felt hot or oozed, or if you get a fever- I would immediately seek medical treatment.

A human bite can be far more dangerous than an animal bite. The human mouth contains more bacteria than that of an animal.Go to a doctor and have it treated and they'll probably give you antibiotics.I had to do this because I was bitten by someone and it got infected. It hurt worst than a dog bite.

Human mouths are very dirty things...you should definitely clean it with a good disinfectant...then use some anti-bacterial cream on it before bandaging. If this is a person you don't know...I would even suggest going to the doctors as you have no idea what you could catch from them.

Personally I would just steal there soul for biting me.

But for a human, I say wash it in some hydrogen peroxide.
and putting a band aid over it.

Clean it out well, perhaps using 1/2 strength peroxide and water. Apply antibiotic ointment. Watch for signs of infection. If the skin is torn, it might need sutures. As always, check with your doctor.

make sure you wash it well and get some antiseptic cream on it straight away

human bites can be much worse then animal bites

my husband had to go to hospital when a human bite (just a small one) went funny, they put him straight away on anti biotics and he had to go back everyday to have the dressing changed, the poison still kept getting worse and he was eventually admitted to hospital and was put on a drip and then had the anti biotics fed straight into the drip to get them into his blood faster

he was lucky he didnt lose his hand

make sure you keep a close eye on it and get to the doctors or hospital if it begins to look infected

Normally wash the area thoroughly with soap and water. If it's bleeding, then I'd call the doctor.
