No, and if he was, I'd have switched doctors. As for the VBAC question, my doctor was all for it. The only reason I had a second c-section was because I went too far overdue without going into labor naturally. Ladies, don't be afraid to ask questions of your doctors. I had to switch doctors 30 weeks into my first pregnancy because of a lack of communication with my doctor.

in all likelihood cuz they're scared and/or do not go with to appear as if a hypochondriac, and perchance it is a stepping stone to them to get some critiques from friends first in the previous they visit the physician. if the question is composed of a few thing extremely serious regardless of the actuality that, Answerers many times tell the guy to "bypass SEE a doctor" (many times in Caps speech, convinced), so as which may be the encouragement the guy desires.

My doctor doesn't talk about that stuff.....That's weird, but the midwife (who I want to switch too) will tell me anything I want to know and she makes me feel more comfortable about wanting to deliver naturally, unlike my doctor who told me I wanted the epidural, and he will have me signed up for it. I understand people change their minds, but don't try to change my mind before I am actually in labor. From what I understand doctors are more apt to do c-sections, episiotomies, and inductions. I feel more comfortable with the midwife who prefers more natural methods!

He should not be. I think if you have questions with performing certain procedures, then you should ask. You have all right to wonder about the credentials(spelling?) of your doctor, especially if you are in a cerain position to where you may have to have one or more of those procedures performed.

Yes! Mine actually said, "IF YOU HAVE TO HAVE A C-SECTION I WON'T BE THERE, I CAN'T HANDLE BLOOD!", can you imagine that!
Mine was a military Dr! He wasn't jokin either! I don't know how he could deliver babies! Besides I NEVER get any real answers from my Drs!

In this day of massive lawsuits I can't really blame anyone for being a bit nervous about questions like that.

No, my doctor is matter-of-fact and very upfront about those subjects.

I asked about VBACs at my first appointment and he quickly mumbled "uh, we'll talk about that later." I'll get my VBAC dang it!
